Mau's mum says Mau is a cat because she is always getting into scrapes and landing on her feet. Born in Sydney, Australia, she has travelled to every continent except the poles and has held a staggering variety of jobs including lifeguard, tobacco salesgirl, boarding kennel assistant and mining supplies requisitioner. Mostly she is a programmer who likes to write.

Mau is defined by her colourful history, luck and her ability to find herself in the strangest situations. When she discovered Evenstar she ditched her outback shack for a new life and a beautiful new love. She adores animals, anime, Wes Anderson movies and sunny days.

2007 was the year Evenstar finally surrendered to the relentless beckoning of his dreaming track, diving headlong into a paroxysm of midlife reinvention that saw him abandon the security, familiarity and predictability of the world he'd been inhabiting. Many fear he's lost the plot because he's suddenly quit following the script, but he'd tell you that hardly anything's ever as it seems.

Born in Fremantle, Australia, he's travelled to two continents and a couple of islands and has held a stumbling variety of jobs including record store guy, psych ward cleaner, milker of cows and one hour photo guy. Mostly he is a photographer who likes to tell stories with pictures.

Evenstar is defined by his visual orientation, luck and ability to find himself dumbfounded at his situation. When he discovered Mau he ditched his reluctance to believe in soulmates and joined her in a new life and love.

There's gotta be a better way to look at the world than the way the western media does, don't you think? Better views than those espoused on talkback radio? A healthier outlook than that of conditioned mass response?

Maybe we create our world by the very way we see it. Mau likes to think smiles make the world go 'round. I know for sure that lips tight with fear or anger or envy surely bring it to a grinding halt!

Call us shiftless hippies, but love is surely all we need and in the end is all there is, so we're gonna do our best to focus on that. The good stuff. The unifying. The inspirational. There's more than enough commentary on what's wrong with the world, more than enough voices raised against the injustices we perpetrate on each other and more than enough propaganda to support every one of the interminable arguments we promulgate.

So: The Dreaming Track will be about the pursuit of beauty and connection and gratitude. About following a path with heart, rather than putting our faith in notions of "security" of any kind. About the wonder of the world and the experiences we share with all people and whether it's truly possible to live in the world we dream of, rather than the one we're told exists.

We're planning a lot of travel and adventures and hope you'll get a kick out of sharing what we discover on the way. Life and travel being what they are, I'm sure we'll be found bitching about something from time to time, but we're confident our dreaming track will keep us heading toward the light. Who knows? If we're really lucky we may even get to prove the world ain't as we're told and inspire you to find the place your own dreaming track begins...
