Mau has 9 years experience with web programming languages, scripting and databases. She prefers to work with open source technologies.

Update: From late 2005 to early 2007 Mau worked as a lifeguard for the Aramac Shire Council in QLD, a remote town in outback Australia. Throughout 2007 she has been traveling in South East Asia. She hasn't lost her touch though ;)

Employment Experience

Feb 2005-Aug 2005 Analyst Programmer - Ministry of Transport NSW
Contracted to complete the school and transport provider portals for the Interim School Students Transport Scheme (ISSTS) system and create a new application to monitor key performance indicators for transport providers (KPI Reporting)
Scope of Involvement:

• Liase with internal clients to complete the design specifications for the ISSTS and KPI portals
• Design and maintain the Informix database for the KPI project
• Code both portals in PHP, including the API for KPI bus reporting
• Oversee implementation and code promotion by internal and external programmers
• Provide technical support to operations staff

May 2004-Sep 2004 Lead Programmer - Secured Infrastructure Design Corp. (JAPAN)
Contracted to develop www.security-sensei.com, a corporate information security education and solutions portal. Site can be dynamically localized for a North American or Japanese market.
Scope of Involvement:

• Design and creation of Postgres database for virus, discovery and vulnerability data
• Creation of SIDC translation, content management and reporting tools
• Coding of online surveys to create dynamic corporate security policies
• Construct an API in PHP/Perl/Javascript for registration, content display and searching, load balanced session management

Contracted to develop www.security-master.com, a portal for distribution of IBM Japan's xSecurit server hardening tool and information security news.

Programming the world's first online facility for property auction and tender. Includes property sales and administration modules for subscriber organisations (real estate and project marketing franchisors.)

• Contribution to detailed specification and supporting documentation
• Design and creation of MSSQL databases
• Back end coding in PHP/Java/Javascript to specification

Aug 2002-May 2003 Technical Consultant - Results Life Coaching
Convert existing MacOS/FileMaker systems to MySQL database with web based administration (PHP) to manage clients, enrollments and courses. This project included creating a CMS for course documentation.
Scope of Involvement:

• Analysis of existing systems, technical recommendations
• Coding of intranet site in PHP/HTML/javascript

Mar 2001-May 2003 Programmer - L.J. Hooker Technology
Responsible for development of web-based applications for the L.J. Hooker network and their suppliers.
Scope of involvement:

• Responsible for maintaining web servers, project code, databases, file and security assets related to the L.J. Hooker Intranet
• Analyse current internal processes and identify areas where web-based solutions would be more efficient
• Oversee training and use of the Intranet CMS systems

Nov 2000-Mar 2001 Site Developer - Sapient Sydney
Development of web sites for internal and external clients using ASP, VBScript, HTML, JavaScript and an MSSQL Server database. Sapient closed their Australian operations but still operates in the U.S.

• Constructing high and low level plans for each phase of projects

Apr 2000-Nov 2000 Internet Consultant - Westpac Institutional Banking
Development of multiple-tier, secure internet applications to allow institutional and corporate clients to view account information and transfer funds from cardholder accounts or via FEC or DRN. Constructed on a Microsoft NT/IIS platform using ASP, VBScript, VB COM and DCOM components in conjunction with an SQL Server 7.0 database, implemented under MTS.
