Thinking Aloud: Seperti seekor monyet

Monkey most proud

I am the proudest monkey

but

who is it you see

when you see me?

Do I make you nervous?

Or do you recreate me in your image

just a little one of you?

Still wary though, aren't you?

You should be!

Ask your female over there...

The one who comes every day and keeps food for us in that hole of wood and strange hard vines

Fruit we cannot eat until one of you is disgorged by a rowdy reeking turtle

or comes on a chattering two foot horse up this winding blackrock riverbed

She knows!

She thinks that stick defends her - but it doesn't

I smell your nerves when I look at you

and wonder...

Monkey most humble Monkey most tired Monkey most contemplative

You give her flowers

She gives you food

You give food to us

?

What strange flowers are they that bloom among your skins?

They smell of all of you

Are they as good as food?

I never see her eat them...

Ah - don't care

The cloudmist drifts through trees

I climb

Here always

Above the sky that lies in the valley

Below the sky that brings the rain

You'll never know the way I am

all in a day's dream

I'm stuck

like the other monkeys here

I am a humble monkey

contemplativemonkey
